Read Quote of Siddharth Deswal’s answer to Indian Institutes of Technology: Why does an IIT graduate really need to do MBA from one of the top universities? on Quora
Psychology. Analytics. Experimentation. Story Telling. Otherwise, I do marketing at Visual Website Optimizer.
generalizations are drawn where none exist; the diversity is systematically ignored; lots of assumptions being made
no real content…just fodder for cynics
go read the 95% confidence interval test you were taught in the 1st trim of mba before you come out with any more theories of yours
Thanks for commenting and your views. Is it possible for you to pinpoint the areas that you don’t agree with? And maybe provide an alternate point of view?
Siddharth Deswal recently posted..Indian Institutes of Technology: Why does an IIT graduate really need to do MBA from one of the top universities?
Well balanced answer…quite true for the most part. Just that these waves come and go…earlier it was about engineering, now about an MBA, and once the market gets saturated with them, some other thing will catch up the imagination of people.
BTW…”a salary of Rs. Unthinkable Bazoonga amount” was really funny! :)
That’s right, waves come and go. But I think it’s more to do with simple demand and supply. As demand of any certain expertise/skill increases at a greater rate than the supply, the value of that supply goes up. A newly liberalized country can will certainly need managerial talent and this results in the enhanced value of MBAs.
So I guess the real talent lies in predicting which particular skill will be in short supply in the near future, and enabling oneself to occupy a position of expertise in that function.
And, thanks!! :)
