Some smart man told me some day god was created so that humans have feeling of fear(didnt give thought to why devil was created), what he meant was a fear that somebody is watching will stop one from doing evil

na tu is comment ko publish nahi karega kyunki jat namard hote hai…aur aisa jatnia khud bolte hai….

Thanks so much for putting down your comments. You’ve made very valid points. The insight that you provide about why they selected you – “being reliable in the long run” is especially useful.

About that bit where I was not being honest, I was actually being totally honest. I understand you might feel I was not because of “being a salesman” but what I meant was being overly pushy and pre emptive, instead answering the interviewer’s questions. Point being, if they believe the product is good, even salesmen are honest :)

I got selected at places where position was of a manager/ salesperson/ accountant, but I clearly told them in the P.I., that I was a failure at salesmanship, and I could sell only 1 insurance policy that too to my friend….

Yes they selected me. And in the feedback, one of them told my father, “The candidate seems to be honest & reliable for long term service in our organisation”.

An open book is anyday better than a closed book with an attractive cover. And HRs around the world know that since much earlier than we did.

2. Market segmentation slide , to which he said , we dont segment the market sir , we try to sell-modify-sell our software to anybdy and everybdy.

3. In one slide i wrote we will enter europe as a strategy to tap new market and he said “so you think we were selling in africa for all these years”

the thing is, in college i was fed too much of this leaving a saturated US market and tapping the open europe market that i just did not know the ground realities. How do you actually ENTER a nation or a market? when talking to a VP , you dont give him the bookish how , you actually have to tell him the ground level how.

my presentation was cut short becz he could foresee the trash in the coming slides.

that was my 3rd day of summers, and on the 60th day of summers.. my slides were answering actual questions like cost of Microsoft vs google vs oracle software. i was actually calling up at indian offices of IBM, oracle, google , microsoft for product demos and cost, it was painful but rewarding.
